Tara Dawn Solheim’s original music draws on blues and jazz from the 1920's and 30's and early rock 'n' roll. Her songwriting has been influenced by a range of artists from Nina Simone, Chuck Berry to Buddy Holly. Having lived in England and Tokyo, she has sung acappella, with bands and performed spoken word in many contexts throughout Canada, America, England and Japan.
